In this video, we have captured Badami’s raw yet undefined beauty – the, once upon a time, regal capital of Chalukyas. It is not just the caves that this town has to offer, rather it has much more to present if one wishes to explore. Apart from the very famous Badami caves, there is – Badami fort, Bhoothnath Temple, Agastya Lake, Museum and many other smaller temples in the group of temples there.
Built between the 5th to 7th centuries, these temples and fort tell us a story of the times when life was simpler and very creative. This was an era of culminating art. Badami and the area around was an experimental ground for the Chalukyas which then catapulted into a much more complex and unfathomable epitome of art and architecture.
We are indeed blessed to be born in a country which is truly incredible.
